A Bit About Me...
I am Tasha, an independent speech therapist specialised in working with children. Since graduating with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of East Anglia in 2016, I worked within the NHS before taking the step into independent practice to enable me to provide families with more bespoke, comprehensive support they were seeking.
At Tasha Speech Therapy, I provide speech therapy services for children who experience speech, language, or communication difficulties. I am experienced in supporting a range of communication needs, whether you are concerned that your child's speech is unclear, that they are late to start talking, they are having difficulty building sentences or using grammar correctly, or if they are struggling to communicate and interact with others.
I understand that each child is unique and has different needs, which is why I take the time to develop individualised and tailored plans for each child. Research shows that having fun can make learning easier for children, so my approach is to make my sessions enjoyable and engaging for each child. It’s my goal to improve children’s communication skills and give them the confidence they need to express themselves and reach their potential. I offer support either within a child's home, online via video call, or at their educational setting.
I offer support for:

Children between the ages of 2-11 years

Children with unclear speech, including articulation and phonological delays/disorders.

Toddlers who are late to start talking

Children presenting with language difficulties which impact their understanding of language, their ability to learn and use new words, or their ability to express their thoughts and ideas clearly.

Children with Developmental Language Disorder or a Language Disorder.

Children with other conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition, Down Syndrome or Global Developmental Delay.
